COVID-19 Update

Posted Wednesday, March 18th, 7:30pm

Hello Wylie Elite Class Families!

You should have received an email yesterday regarding our plan for classes starting next week and we will continue with this plan until further notice.  Below you will find the registration link and instructions.

A few things to note:
1) The online booking is for our weekly Cheer/Tumble and Tumble classes only.  This does not apply to Teams, Private lessons, Tiny Tumblers, Flyer class, Jumps, and Stretch classes. Those teams/classes will have a different solution, and plans will be communicated in separate emails.

2) Please register with the coach and level your athlete is currently enrolled with.   If for some reason you are unable to find a slot, please email kelli@wylieelite.com. Only book 1 slot per class you are enrolled in!

3) Scheduling for private lessons will start next week directly through coaches. There will be limited options since we are trying to keep the gym capacity at less than 10 people at a time. More information to come next week.

WE appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding during this time as we work diligently to find ways to safely provide our services.

Reminders:

  • Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so register your time quickly once the link becomes available!
  • Athletes who show any symptoms upon arriving for their lesson will not be allowed in the building. Please monitor this carefully before you come! It would break our hearts to have to send someone away.
  • The lobby will be closed for viewing. We will have staff here to meet athletes at the entrance and escort them when exiting to avoid any additional contact with others.
  • Athletes and coaches will use hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the building.
  • Athletes should bring a bottle of water from home as the water fountain will be turned off.
  • Athletes will be asked to refrain from high-fiving or hugging coaches. Please make sure your kiddos know that we are only withholding physical affection for their own safety! As always, we will certainly continue to verbally encourage and build them up!

Finally, remember that this could all change tomorrow!  We are doing our best to keep a “business as usual” approach, but the City could easily shut us down at any time.  Until then we are going to keep on keeping on!

Hello Wylie Elite Class Families!

We are continuing to monitor the latest developments regarding COVID-19, with the health and safety of our families as a top priority. As information becomes available, our management team meets to determine the best way to proceed during this difficult time.

So far we have been deep cleaning and sanitizing the gym from top to bottom in preparation for our staff and athletes returning. We know kids are shut inside most of the day and could really use time in the gym to not only continue to sharpen skills, but to keep from going crazy!

Hence we are currently finalizing a plan to get our athletes back in the gym, while adhering to the CDC guidelines for social gatherings.

Customers who have paid tuition for March will have the option to book a semi-private time with a coach starting Monday of next week. Each athlete will be allotted a 30-minute time per week, and will be scheduled with only one other athlete and a level-appropriate coach. (For a total of 3 people per session.) We are staggering the schedule of our coaches throughout the day to keep fewer than 10 people at any given time in the gym. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis, so register your time quickly once the link becomes available!

We hope to have the link ready for you to sign up by Wednesday evening. Here are some policies to keep in mind as we implement our plan:

  • You will only be allowed to sign-up for the same level you are currently in.

  • You will only be allowed to book one slot per week.

  • The lobby will remain closed. Athletes will be dropped off at the front door and parents will wait outside.

  • Athletes and coaches will use hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the building.

  • Athletes should bring a bottle of water from home as the water fountain will be turned off.

  • Athletes will be asked to refrain from high-fiving or hugging coaches or fellow athletes while in the building. Coaches may need to spot a skill and will do so only when necessary. Please make sure your kiddos know that we are only withholding physical affection for their own safety! As always, we will certainly continue to verbally encourage and build them up!

  • Athletes who show any symptoms upon arriving for their lesson will not be allowed in the building. Please monitor this carefully before you come! It would break our heart to have to send someone away.

We are excited to provide this opportunity to serve our families at a significant discount from what semi-private lessons would normally cost. We also appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate through this uncharted territory. We are a small business who depends on our monthly billing to provide income for our amazing staff, as well as maintain our programs and facility! We commit to always provide a safe environment where your kids can learn, and to make sure you get what you signed up for in the first place. For a few weeks things will look and be different, but we will get through these times and be better on the back side. Stick with us and we promise to meet or exceed your expectations as a valued customer!

We will contact you soon with the sign-up link.

Sincerely,

Kristy Von Runnen

Dear Wylie Elite Family,

By now you have probably seen that the Wylie ISD has decided to keep its schools closed next week. We have decided at Wylie Elite to adopt the same response to the spread of COVID-19 and cancel all Classes, Teams, and Private Lessons for the week of Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20. The gym will be completely closed for the entire week, and we will use this time as an opportunity to do a deep clean on all of our equipment.

We are working on a plan for options to make-up missed classes and we will communicate that once a final decision has been made. Don’t worry, we will make sure our customers and staff are taken care of.

We will most likely follow the the same reopening schedule as the Wylie ISD, and plan on being back to normal operation on Monday, March 23. We will send out an update on Friday, March 20 to confirm our plans. Until then, please follow the preventative measures recommended by the CDC and do your part to help prevent further spread of the virus.

Please continue to pray for all those affected by the virus so far, and pray for wisdom for all those battling for our health and well-being.

Sincerely,

Kristy Von Runnen
